Questions, answered

Is Recordful free?

Yes. The Chrome extension is free: record a tab, your screen or your camera, annotate, edit and export to a file, with no account and no sign-in. Recordful Pro is a paid plan that adds cloud recordings, share links, a dashboard, transcripts and team workspaces.

Do I need an account to record my screen?

No. Install the extension and press record. An account is only needed for Recordful Pro, because cloud recordings have to belong to someone.

Where are my recordings stored?

On the free extension, recordings stay on your device and never leave it. With Pro, recordings upload to private cloud storage and are only visible to your workspace until you turn on a share link.

Is Recordful open source?

The extension is open source under the GPLv3 license, and the code is on GitHub. Anyone can read it, build it and check what it does.

How much does Recordful Pro cost?

Recordful Pro is $13 per month, or $120 per year with a 14-day free trial. One plan includes every Pro feature.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your account settings whenever you like and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are not refunded for unused time.

Which browsers does Recordful work in?

Chrome, and Chromium browsers that install Chrome extensions, such as Edge and Brave.
